RWL Newsletter #21
Happy Friday! We're down to the last week of classes - hard to believe the semester is almost over. It's interesting to be involved in education - it gives your life a seasonal nature. I'm looking forward to the winter break, which is more of a "break" (just imagine me making scare quotes in the air when you read that) because it's really when I'm able to work on the other projects I need to accomplish to keep from getting fired.

What: from the Kaiser Foundation, the Kaiser Health Tracking Poll: November 2016
http://kff.org/health-reform/poll-finding/kaiser-health-tracking-poll-november-2016/
Why: Conducted a week after the presidential election, this survey has a lot of interesting information about how people are thinking about healthcare. Of particular interest are some of the opinions expressed about the individual parts of the ACA. Point by point, the law is still quite popular. The primary exception is the individual mandate. But without the individual mandate, much of the rest of the law would be difficult to sustain. Definitely worth browsing through the statistics.

Why: I had a great time interviewing Susanna. From aspiring Olympian to plaintiff's attorney to being the face of one of the largest health systems in our state - she's got a great story.
